Weather

The weather during September and October hunts is usually mild and dry. Temperatures range from 35 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit at night and 50 to 80 degrees during daylight hours. Hunts later in October will be colder with a good possibility of snow.

Remember: Elevations are much higher than many people are accustomed to, so please take into consideration that breathing may be difficult during some hunting situations.

Seasons 

Wyoming has various opening dates for different areas. Some Antelope areas open in September while other areas don't open until October. Elk season opens in September for archery and in October for rifles. Mule Deer season opens the latest in Mid-October.
